A history of comfort and character
Four Elms was built in 1850 as a residence for a roadside cafe that sat next to the main road to London on the crest of a hill overlooking the Yarty valley. When the A303 was built the road became quiet and the cafe closed . Four Elms was then extended and turned into a pretty residence . Sadly over the years the property became neglected and almost derelict. However in 2024 it was purchased by the owners of the cottage next door who lovingly and completely renovated it to a high standard, transforming it into a character cottage with all the modern conveniences you would expect.
